What Members Say"In March, 1999, I was invited to help charter a new Toastmasters club with the focus on advanced communication and leadership skills. I had just earned my CTM and was hooked on the TM program. I was honored to be asked to join a group that consisted of Robin Doglio (District 50 Governor), Bob Lantz, Gary Smith (past District 25 Governor), Ken Roe (my mentor), Carol Crammer, Vickie Penney (future District 50 Governor), Shirley Hamilton, April Emmert, and so many other experienced Toastmasters. Most every member either was or now has been an Area Governor or other District Officer. I found the group to give honest, firm but caring, supportive evaluations. The club has maintained that same reputation since its charter. My first year as a member of Fast Forward Communicators, I feel I grew five years in my speaking abilities and leadership skills. I, too, went on to be an Area Governor in 2001 with the support of my fellow Fast Forward members. I have served in every club office in multiple clubs and was awarded the Outstanding VP of Membership by District 50 in 2001. Fast Forward Communicators challenged me to spread my wings to serve others in Toastmasters. I have just completed my mentorship of a new club - Plano West Toasters. I am now an ATM-Silver and CL, actively pursuing my DTM. I am ecstatic at representing Fast Forward at the Area 66 Humorous and Table Topics Contest. I continue to grow through all my activities in Toastmasters, but I owe Fast Forward Communicators a huge debt for the encouraging atmosphere they created that allowed me to believe in me and my abilities. Thank you, Fast Forward." Charlotte M. Adair, ATMS CL, Training Specialist, CTSC - Plano "Once I completed my CTM, I really did not know what to do or where
to go with my speaking goals. I attended a Fast Forward club meeting and
saw Vickie Penney and Tammy McDonald gave their presentation and said
to myself WOW!! After the evaluations of their speeches completed, I decided
that I wanted to be apart of Fast Forward. Their speeches were both excellent
speeches however, the evaluations were outstanding and I knew I would
grow as a speaker and benefit from those evaluations. Additionally, I
knew I would benefit from the members in Fast Forward. "FAST FORWARD: FF stands behind its name - the group moves quickly and efficiently toward individual and group goals. Even with its friendly and warm atmosphere, FFC uses its time effectively. Individual talents are given ample time and tactful evaluations which create an atmosphere where leadership and communication skills are enhanced." Susan Davis, ATMB CL "When I first visited Fast Forward Communicators 3 years ago I had been a Toastmaster for 2 years and had started my ATM-B. I was most impressed by the level of experience and Toastmasters knowledge in the club. The evaluations were very comprehensive with no 'whitewashing'. I got excellent directions to follow to improve my speaking performance. Most club members were doing a lot of responsible jobs in the Area and District but they were very friendly and gave me a lot of confidence. When I joined Fast Forward, it felt like I had "graduated" into an elite Toastmasters Club." Judith Rinehart, ATMS, CL; District 50 Area 61 Governor 2005-2006 "After I finished my ATMS at my then home club I was at a turning
point in my Toastmasters 'career.' I felt that for me in order to develop
and grow further I needed more critical feedback on my speeches than I
was getting at that time. These are the benefits Fast Forward Communicators has for me:
Through my membership in Fast Forward Communicators I became a better speaker and a confident leader." Marianne Phillips, DTM, Assistant Town North Division Governor Education & Training 2006-2007
